Websites made to turn visitors into enquiries.

The internet is changing. We build websites tailored around your business that help you get found wherever your customers look. Search, AI answers or social media.

A website that works as hard as you do

Looks matter, but they’re only part of it. A website really works when it’s easy to use, easy to find, and helps turn visitors into customers. That’s what we build for you. Here’s a few we’ve built recently:

Built to be accessible, from the ground up

Too many websites quietly leave people out. Text that’s too small to read. Colours that blur into each other. Buttons that only work with a mouse. Animations that can trigger seizures. Every time someone can’t use a site, that’s a customer walked away, and at worst, poor accessibility can genuinely harm people.

At Site Design Squad, we design with accessibility from the very first step. We aim to build websites to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the internationally recognised standard for accessible websites. We’ve never treated accessibility as a hurdle or a box to tick at the end, it’s just part of building a site properly. Every website we make is designed to work for as many people as possible, and that makes it better for everyone who visits.

And plenty more besides. Accessible design reaches far more of your visitors than most businesses realise.

The way we work is accessible too

It is not only your finished site that we make accessible. We bring that same thinking to how we work with you while we build your website.

We explain things in plain language, and if anything is unclear we will put it another way or show you examples. We can also share information in whatever format suits you, from larger print or a high-contrast document to a bullet-point recap or a voice message. It all goes in writing too, so you’ve a clear record of what was agreed at each step of the build.

We will never bury you in tech talk or push you onto a call you did not ask for.

If you or anyone on your team has any access needs, let us know at any point and we’ll sort out how best to support you.

FAQs

Still have some questions?

Check out our FAQs, and if they still can’t answer your question please get in touch.

It's easy to get started. Just fill out our contact form, with a few details about your business and what you’re looking for. We’ll be in touch to discuss your needs, answer any questions, and guide you through the next steps.

Our custom websites start from £950. The final price depends on the size of the site and what it needs to do, so we'll give you a clear quote before any work begins. Larger or more complex projects are priced on request.

Yes. You can pay in full upfront, or spread the cost across the project in stages as it progresses, we'll agree the schedule with you before we start. If you'd rather spread the cost over the longer term and have everything managed for you, our monthly web design plans are another way to get a professional site without a larger one-off payment.

Hosting isn't included with a one-off build, so you arrange your own, and we're happy to recommend good options and help you get set up. If you'd prefer us to host and look after your site for you, take a look at our monthly web design plans.

Not at all. While we love to work with businesses that are local to where we're based in Somerset we have clients across the whole of the UK, as well as Europe, the USA and Australia. No matter where you're based, we'd love to work with you.

Yes. Small tweaks are covered during your 30 days of support after launch. After that, one-off changes can be quoted as and when you need them, or if you'd like changes handled regularly, a care plan includes support time each month for exactly that.

Your quote includes a set amount of revisions, so there's room to refine things as we go, the exact amount depends on the size and type of your project. If you want to go beyond that, or the change is a bigger one that shifts the scope, we'll simply quote for the extra work before doing it, so there are no surprises.

It depends on the size of the site and how quickly we get content and feedback from you. We'll give you a realistic timeline once we know what your project involves.

Whatever suits your project best, whether that's WordPress, Shopify, Magento or a fully custom build. We'll talk you through the right fit before we start.

Yes, accessibility is part of how we build every site, not an extra. We design and build following the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and we test as we go with a keyboard, a screen reader and colour contrast checks, not just an automated scan.

No one can honestly promise a website is 100% accessible to every person in every situation, and content you add later can affect it too. What we can promise is that your site will be built with care to work for as many people as possible. If you want on-going support with accessibility, let us know when you ask for a quote or check out our monthly website plans.

WCAG stands for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. They're the internationally recognised standard for making websites usable by disabled people, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), the organisation that sets the standards for the web.

The guidelines cover things like text that's easy to read, colours with enough contrast, captions on videos, and making sure everything works with a keyboard or a screen reader. There are three levels: A, AA and AAA. Level AA is the one most organisations aim for, and it's the level we work to on every site we build.
