About Us
Our Mission
Site Design Squad was founded with a clear goal: to make professional web design easy and accessible for everyone. We saw that getting a website was often a complicated and expensive process for small business owners, and we wanted to change that.
Our passion for a more inclusive internet comes from a core belief in accessibility for all. As Tim Berners-Lee, the inventor of the World Wide Web, once said, “The power of the Web is in its universality. Access by everyone regardless of disability is an essential aspect.”
To help fulfill this goal, we build sites with accessibility in mind from the start. We also aim to deliver great websites through clear communication and fair pricing, without the fuss.
Why our mission matters
Our Story
Where It All Began
Our founder, Alison, noticed that many brilliant local businesses she knew and used — from fantastic tradespeople to her hairdresser — had websites that didn't do them justice. She knew she could help.
The Problem We Saw
Their websites were often outdated, difficult to use on a phone, and in many cases, completely inaccessible to disabled people. We knew we could provide a better way. What started as a small web design venture has since grown into Site Design Squad.
Growing the Team
Our team expanded to include not just creative designers, but also skilled developers, social media managers, content creators, and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) specialists to help our clients get found online.
Our Mission Remains
While our team has grown, our core mission has never changed. We are here to give every business the professional, reliable, and accessible website it deserves.
Clear Communication
No jargon, no confusion — just honest, open conversations.
Fair Pricing
Quality web design that's transparent and affordable for every business.
Genuine Partnership
We build lasting relationships, not just websites.

"Working with Site Design Squad has been a pleasure. Alison and her team were really understanding and kept me informed throughout the design process. I continue to receive some amazing ongoing support with a quick turnaround when I ask for changes to my menus or posting seasonal pastries. I've seen an increase in online and phone orders since they set the site up, and I couldn't be happier with the service."

Det lilla bageriet"I hired Site Design Squad to create a website for my content creation business, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The site loads incredibly fast. When I asked about this, James explained that accessibility and performance are top priorities for the team. Overall I found everyone I've worked with professional, thoughtful, and highly skilled."
Gabriel Myers
WildCard Media"Alison (the founder) has been working on my sites for more than 6 years now. She helped me design all my sites and worked on them until we reached the results we wanted to achieve. She's held my hand throughout theme changes and has been an incredible asset in the growth of my sites."

Strictly SardiniaProudly Based in South West England, Working With You Anywhere
Our roots are firmly planted in Somerset, with our team now spanning the South West of England. This allows us to serve our local community while partnering with clients from all over the world. After all, the web has no borders, and neither does our work.

Proud to Support Ablepreneurs
An ablepreneur is a business owner who builds and runs their venture while disabled or chronically ill. This work is close to our hearts, because Site Design Squad was founded by Alison, who is disabled herself. She knows first-hand what it takes to run a business while managing a disability, and she brings that lived experience to every site we build.
It’s why accessibility sits at the centre of everything we do, and why we regularly work with and support disabled business owners. We’ve spent over a year alongside Ablepreneurs, helping create an accessible online community, shaping their website and tools, and coaching their team on how to make their work open to everyone. It’s some of the work we’re most proud of. Along the way, we’ve seen how much talent and drive there is in this community, and how often small, avoidable barriers get in the way of it.
That’s why we’re getting behind National Ablepreneurs Day [add date]. It’s a chance to celebrate disabled entrepreneurs, share their stories, and show that a business built to be accessible is a better business for everyone.
